Ups and downs
You know, sometimes life throws you a curveball and you won't notice till it hits *sighs

I got a call the other night from my sister in law - my eldest sister is in the hospital with a cerebral haemorrhage and she's not doing too well. I know people get past it in many cases, but it doesn't make it any easier seeing another human being struggling with memories and sense of reality.

My whole weekend's packed to the brim, so I get the feeling the real fallout of this won't really hit me untill Sunday. I mean, I don't think I'll break down or anything, but I foresee a quiet Sunday night in the company of my own thoughts. I want to the hospital and it's in the same area where my mum died ten years ago - it brings back really bad memories.

On the upside, I've ordered tickets for May 11th-18th to meet up with some fannish peeps and on top of this and work riding me hard, I'm hoping at least I'll get some rest at some point.

Also, I have a little gift for you that I did while watching tonight's ep of CSI:NY - I find it easier to focus on the TV with the sketchpad in my hand XD
